Oslo Rygge Airport (RYG)

Moss Airport, Rygge is 10km from Moss, in the far southeast of Norway. The airport is superbly placed for the southern fjords of Norway. Wonderful scenery appeals to nature lovers and fans of outdoor activities. Winter flights allow access to terrific cross-country skiing and top Norwegian ski resorts. This is a small regional airport with a restaurant, cafe, shops and duty free.

Recent years have seen economical direct flights with low-cost airline Ryanair. This is an important hub airport for Ryanair in Norway. Do note that although the route is advertised as Oslo Rygge, the airport is 60km from the Norwegian capital. Passengers on Ryanair flights are met by buses to Oslo. The journey takes about an hour. Getting to Oslo by train is now possible with the construction of a railway station, which is 4km from the terminal. Ryanair currently operate year-round flights from Manchester, Liverpool and London Stansted. This is often the cheapest route to Norway from the UK.

Local Transport

Train

Hourly NSB trains run to Oslo Central Station. Journey time is 50 minutes. A regular shuttle bus connects the airport with the airport railway station. The bus is included in your train ticket.

Bus

A bus service is timed to coincide with Ryanair flights. The bus departs about 30 minutes after flights arrive. The bus heads for Oslo bus terminal. Journey time is 60 minutes.
