Finland Flights

Finland

The Finnish capital Helsinki has not attracted interest from low-cost airlines but flights are reasonably well priced with airlines like Finnair and British Airways. The lowest fares from the UK to Finland are normally to the city of Tampere with Ryanair. Indirect flights are available from many regional airports but these will be more expensive. Airlines offering indirect flights include SAS, Finnair and Air Baltic.

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL)

The main international airport for Finland, and the fourth largest airport in Scandinavia. Affordable fares can normally be found with British Airways, Finnair and Norwegian.

Tampere Airport (TMP)

Tampere-Pirkkala Airport 13 km from Tampere , and just over 100 miles from Helsinki. The airport is the third busiest in Finland. The city enjoys easy access to Finland’s stunning Western Lake District. Flights with low-cost airline Ryanair are usually the cheapest way of getting to Finland from the UK. Recent years have seen Ryanair flights departing from London Stansted and Edinburgh. Reasonably priced indirect flights are often available from Finnair, SAS and Air Baltic.

Regional Airports

Indirect flights are available to a number of smaller regional airports. The cheapest fares are often to Turku, Lappeenrant, Vaasa and Pori. Expect to pay around double the price of flights to Helsinki. The best deals are often with Finnair, Air Baltic and SAS.
