Fez Airport (FEZ)

The introduction of low-cost airlines at Fez Saisse Airport has finally allowed fast affordable access to one of the most fascinating cities in Morocco. The amazingly exotic medieval city centre is a 20 minute taxi trip from the airport. Many visitors would claim the medieval alleys of Fez more than match the famous souks of Marrakech. Fez Airport also makes an ideal starting point for a tour of major Moroccan cities. This is a small regional airport with just a handful of flights each day. The airport is 15km from Fez.

Fez lags well behind Marrakech in terms of flights from the UK. However, economical fares have recently been available with low-cost airline Ryanair. The route is often seasonal. Flights depart from London Stansted. The next best choice is frequently Royal Air Maroc from Heathrow, but these flights are considerably more expensive and are usually indirect. Other airlines with indirect flights include KLM and British Airways.
