Tunis Carthage Airport is the main airport serving Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. There are no low-cost or budget airlines with routes to Tunis so flights are quite expensive. Most flights are indirect, often with a stopover in Paris. The best deals in recent years have often been with Alitalia from London Heathrow and London City Airport. Reasonably priced flights are also available from British Airways from London Gatwick and Tunisair from London Heathrow and Manchester. Flying from outside London is a great deal more expensive. Other airlines with reasonably priced indirect flights include KLM, Lufthansa and Air France.
You may sometimes find a limited number of charter flights with tour operators like Thomson. However, most charter flights head for airports closer to Tunisian beach resorts like Djerba, Enfidha and Monastir.
