Shannon airport is a convenient gateway to the wonderful scenery of the west of Ireland. The airport is 24Km from Limerick, 22km from Ennis and 90Km from Galway city. This is Ireland’s third busiest airport after Dublin and Cork. A brand new terminal was opened in 2000. There is a good choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The airport is a relaxed place with just a handful of flights arriving each day. Passing through arrivals and departures is swift and hassle-free. There are good transport connections to Limerick and Galway

The best deals are often with low-cost airline Ryanair. They currently operate routes from Liverpool, Stansted and Gatwick.

Bus Eireann provide connections to and from all the major cities of Ireland. Buses to Limerick take 20 minutes. Journey time to Galway is 75 minutes. JJ Kavanagh & Sons provide a service between Shannon Airport, Limerick and Dublin Airport.
