GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

The distance to the city centre is approximately 20km, or around 30 minutes. Transport to the centre is quick and easy. There are no train or subway networks connected to the airport, but if you need to catch a train or the subway heading out of Prague you can take the Airport Express bus from Terminal 2, a service which is timed to coincide with the departure and arrival times of SC Pendolino, Eurocity and Intercity trains at the main train station.

By Bus

Buses to and from Prague city centre are cheap and frequent. The fastest routes are numbers 119 and 100. If you are travelling at night you can catch the 510 night bus between midnight and 3.30. Passengers travelling by bus can take advantage of short term travel passes, which are easy to use and very economical. Choose from a 5 day, 3 day or 24 hour pass, which includes free travel for a child aged between 6 and 14.

Taxis & Car Hire

Car rental is available from the undercover area of Parking C, from companies like Europcar, Hertz and Avis. Taxi companies are available and generally reliable and cheap, although there is a possibility that visitors can be overcharged by unreliable taxi companies. You can pre-book a premium taxi and avoid possible overcharging.

CAR PARKING

More than 3000 parking spaces throughout the airport. There are several different parking areas to choose from, depending on how long you need to leave your car for. Parking is offered for all kind of vehicles including cars, minivans, cars, coaches and motorbikes. Short term parking, in the designated parking areas outside Terminals 1 and 2, is free for fifteen minutes. Ideal for pick ups and drop offs.

If you are planning to park for a couple of hours then head for car park C outside Terminal 1 or car park B directly in front of Terminal 2. If you will be leaving a car here for more than seven days, then head for the covered area of Car Park C where long term parking is offered. Car park C is regularly patrolled by airport security staff so peace of mind is assured. A new development is the introduction of safety deposit boxes for storing small, valuable car accessories (for example GPS systems, keys and hands free kits). This service is also completely free of charge. For the cheapest parking, head for Car Park D, just a 10 minute walk from Terminals 1 and 2.Check www.prg.aero for up to date information on car parking prices.
