Parma Airport is the gateway to a region known for its attractive towns, beautiful countryside and fine food. The airport is welled placed for touring cities like Modena, Bologna and Ravenna. Parma is also a useful entry point for beach resorts like Rimini, Cattolica, Cesena and Tredozio. The city of Parma is just 2km from the terminal. This is a very quiet regional airport with a single snack bar. There are just a handful of flights every day. The airport opened in 1991.
Recent years have seen economical direct flights with low-cost airline Ryanair. They currently operate year-round flights from London Stansted.

A bus connects the airport with Parma railway station. Buses depart every hour from 06.30 to 20-00. Tickets cost around 1.20 euros if bought before boarding, 2 euros on the bus. Journey time 15 minutes.
Parma railway station has excellent train connections with Bologna and Milan.
