Montpelier Airport (MPL)

Montpelier Méditerranée Airport is just 7km from Montpelier city centre with its superb restaurants and great shopping. The airport is also the starting point for holidays in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and the Mediterranean coast. Low-cost flights from the UK mean this cosmopolitan city now rivals better-known short break destinations like Paris, Nice, Lille and Marseille.

France’s 10th busiest airport has a modest choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There are good transport connections into the city centre.

Flights with low-cost airlines EasyJet have brought this sunny southern city within easy reach of the UK. EasyJet operate year-round flights from London Gatwick. Seasonal summer flights depart from London Luton. Seasonal routes normally begin in May and end in September. Ryanair currently operates routes from Birmingham and Leeds Bradford. Indirect flights are available from national airlines like KLM and Air France, but these will be considerably more expensive.
