Lyon Airport (LYS)

Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport is the fourth-busiest in France. The Airport is located in Columbier-Saugnieu, 24 km from Lyon city centre. The airport is a useful gateway to ski resorts in the Rhone-Alps region. Lyon has excellent transport connections with the ski holiday centres of Chambery and Grenoble. There are three passenger terminals and a wide choice of shops and restaurants.

Low-cost flights from the UK have raised the profile of a city known for its charming Old Town and legendary cuisine. This cosmopolitan city is starting to rival classic short break destinations like Paris and Lille. The best deals are almost always with EasyJet. The low-cost airline operates routes from London Stansted, Bristol, Edinburgh and London Gatwick. Indirect flights are available from regional airports but these are considerably more expensive. The cheapest options are often with Swiss Air, British Airways, Lufthansa, SAS and Brussels Airlines.
