GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Train

Humberside Airport is conveniently located for local connections via Doncaster to the mainline rail network. Catch the fast train from London Kings Cross and it’ll take you between an hour and a half and two hours to get to Doncaster, depending on which service you choose. The nearest railway station to Humberside Airport, Barnetby, is only three miles from the airport and runs regular services to and from Doncaster. For the latest timetable information from Barnetby to Doncaster, visit the National Rail Enquiry website. You can book your train tickets in advance fast and easily online via various websites including the trainline – well worth doing because you can make enormous savings on train fares. The further in advance you book, the less you pay!

Bus

Humberside Airport has a reliable regular bus service so it is easy to reach using public transport. The Stagecoach X1 Humber Flyer bus runs between Hull, Humberside Airport and Grimsby. There’s a link to the latest bus timetable for this service, and other local connecting services, on the airport’s own website. National Express coaches run from several towns and cities to Doncaster. Remember that coaches are just as likely as cars to get delayed on the roads. It is always wise to factor in any potential delays to your journey and cover all eventualities.

Driving

Humberside Airport is well connected and has excellent road links. The airport is situated just off the A18 trunk road, only three miles from Junction 5 of the M180 motorway. The airport also has good road connections with major east / west and north / south motorway network, the M1, M18, M62, A1 and the magnificent Humber Bridge. Consult the AA Route Planner using postcode DN39 6YH for detailed directions.

CAR PARKING

A large short stay car park is directly opposite the terminal, where there’s also a clearly marked drop off area for departing passengers and their luggage. Official long stay airport parking is cost effective and easy to get to, with three large dedicated long stay car parks.

The short stay car park is so close to the terminal that there’s no need for a shuttle bus connection. The airport’s long stay car parks are all within easy walking distance too. On arrival at the airport, via the A18 Grimsby road, simply follow the signs for Car Parks 2, 3 or 4. There are dedicated disabled parking spaces for blue badge holders, no matter how long your stay. Make sure you are charged the right rate by taking your car park ticket to the information desk.

You can book car parking in advance either by telephone or online. You don’t need to pay in advance. Just turn up, park and pay when you leave. Before going back to your car, pay using one of the convenient automated ticket machines that you’ll find in and around the terminal buildings. These accept all the major credit and debit cards as well as cash, and the machine will give you a receipt if you want one. Alternatively, grab a ticket at the arrivals barrier and pay on your way back via the exit barrier using either credit or debit card.
