Tour operators like Thomas Cook lay on flights from small regional airports like Cardiff, Newcastle and Bournemouth. The widest choice of departure airport is found in the summer months. Flight time from the UK is around 5 hours, depending on your departure point. Flights are available all year round thanks to the superb sunny climate. The best deals are usually found outside the main school holidays.
Flights with low-cost airline EasyJet are frequently the cheapest option. EasyJet fly from Manchester, London Gatwick, London Stansted and London Luton. You will also find good-value fares from Monarch, Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines.
Sharm El Sheikh Airport (SSH)
The gateway to popular Red Sea beach resorts like Coral Beach, Nabq Bay, Naama Bay and Ras Um Sid. Most resorts in Sharm are very easily accessible from the airport, with transfer times of around 30 minutes. The exception is Dahab, which is located further down the coast, and takes around an hour to reach by taxi.

Luxor International Airport (LXR)
Gateway to the River Nile and the Valley of the Kings. Routes from Manchester Birmingham and London Gatwick with EasyJet, Thomson, Thomas Cook and Monarch.

Flights tend to be more expensive. For the best deals try Alitalia, British Airways, Turkish Airlines, Egypt Air and Qatar Airways.
