GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Bus

Regular buses serve Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. East Midland Airport buses also serve small towns and villages around the airport. Nottingham Skylink buses run from East Midlands Airport to Nottingham city centre and train station. Leicester Skylink buses connect Leicester with the airport in less than an hour. The Derby Airline Shuttle calls at Derby and Loughborough city centres and train stations. The Loughborough Airline Shuttle runs to Loughborough and Loughborough train station. Shuttle buses run 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Routes also include Long Eaton and Coalville.

Train

There is no train station at the airport. The nearest station to the airport is East Midlands Parkway, 4 miles from the terminal. Airport buses link the airport with train stations at Derby, Nottingham and Loughborough. If travelling by train from Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds or York, head for Derby. Rail travellers from London, Northampton and Luton should head for Loughborough. Rail passengers from Lincoln, Newark, Peterborough and Mansfield should travel to Nottingham.

Driving

East Midlands Airport is easily accessed from towns and cities in the Midlands via the M1 and M42. If you are using a satellite navigation system for, the postcode is DE74 2SA. Cars should drop off and pick up at the short stay car park. There is free parking at short stay car park for the first 10 minutes. Taxis can be pre-booked. CAR PARKING

All official car parks are of a high standard, well-supervised and close to the airport terminal building. Short stay parking is ideal for drop offs, pick ups and stays of a few hours. Short stay parking is opposite the terminal. Long-stay parking is the cheapest. For long stay parking head for Car Park 1,2,3,4 or 7. Car Park 7 is furthest from the terminal. A free shuttle bus service connects long stay car park 7 with the airport terminal in 10 minutes. Buses run every 7-15 minutes. Car parks 1, 2, 3 & 4 are a short walk from the terminal, but are also served by a shuttle bus. Buses run every 10 minutes. Disabled parking is in the short stay car park. The Drop-Off & Pick Up area is in the short stay car park opposite the terminal. Park free at Short Stay for the first 10 minutes. Prices depend on the car park and length of stay. The cheapest parking is normally found by booking in advance or taking advantage of special offers. The airport website has full details of official prices.
