GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Bus

Buses do not run into Dalaman. You will have to take a taxi. Fortunately taxis are plentiful and cheap. The airport is only 4 miles from Dalaman, it's easy and quick to get there. If you plan to take an intercity bus into the rest of Turkey from Dalaman, head towards the north of the town, where you will find the main bus station. Havas Bus services run regular shuttle services to many other nearby destinations including the popular yacht and cruising town of Marmaris and the beautiful marina town of Fethiye. You will find bus departure areas conveniently situated at the exit of the Domestic Terminal of Dalaman airport.

Driving

Getting to Dalaman Airport by car is easy whichever direction you are arriving from. Simply follow the D400 highway and exit towards the south on route 5 towards the airport, which is helpfully signposted from the motorway. If you wish to explore the stunning Aegean coastline at your own pace, you can do no better than hire a car from one of the many car rental desks available at Dalaman airport. You can hire cars from several world renowned companies including Avis, Budget Rent a Car and Europcar.

Train

Dalaman and indeed the rest of the South West coastline of Turkey has no rail connections. The nearest train station to Dalaman airport can be found at Denizli, near Pamukke, which will connect you to the main Turkish high speed rail network that stretches across the whole country from Van in the East to Izmir in the West.

CAR PARKING

Car parks are situated in front of the airport within walking distance of the international airport terminal. There are 550 car parking spaces available for both long term and short term parking. There are spaces available for cars, minibuses and coaches, and ample room for you if you are just dropping off or picking up.

Parking is patrolled by constant security and surveillance so you can be sure that your car is safe and secure whether parked for long term or short term periods. Near the airport car parks is the Park Café, where you can enjoy a drink or a snack while you wait for your lift.

Prices are very reasonable. Split into several price bands, car parking prices are determined by how long you wish to leave your vehicle in the car park. You can leave your car for up to one hour if you are planning to pick up or drop off a passenger at the airport. For longer visits, parking prices are divided into the following options: up to three hours, from three to six hours, from six to twelve hours and from twelve to twenty four hours. For more regular users of the car park or for very long term stays you can purchase a monthly parking card which will enable you to park for an entire month for a reasonable price.

AIRPORT AMENITIES

Facilities at the airport are second to none, and include conference facilities, convenient wi-fi internet access (to make use of internet services you need to collect a 'netpass card' from the information desk for a small fee) and automatic check in services. Other facilities include a first aid room, a post office, public telephones and luggage trolleys. You will also find many places of worship, including a chapel, a synagogue and mosques.

Facilities for disabled visitors are numerous, including lifts, ramps and disabled toilets. The staff are friendly and welcoming. You will never go hungry at the food court, where a wide range of fast food options are on offer. You could also take a moment to relax at one of the airport cafes and appreciate a very strong Turkish coffee. A well-stocked duty free shop offers all sorts of goodies including luxury items, leather goods, jewellery, perfumes and gifts for all the family.
