Bucharest

Bucharest does not have especially good connections with the UK. EasyJet were flying to Bucharest Aurel Vlaicu but the airport closed to passenger traffic in 2012. Since then the only low-cost airlines with routes to the UK are Blue Air and Wizz Air. Both fly from London Luton. Scheduled flights with British Airways and Rumanian national carrier Tarom depart from London Heathrow. Flying to Bucharest from airports outside London is expensive and will involve an indirect flight.

Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport (OTP)

Bucharest Henri Coanda (still commonly referred to as Bucharest Otopeni Airport) is the largest and busiest airport in Rumania. The airport is currently undergoing large-scale redevelopment that will improve facilities and increase capacity. Direct flights from London Luton are available with low-cost airlines Wizz Air and Blue Air. British Airways and Tarom operate scheduled flights from London Heathrow. Almost all flights from outside London will be indirect and considerably more expensive. Airlines offering indirect flights include germanwings, Pegasus, KLM, British Airways, Lufthansa and TAP.
