Forli Airport is a convenient gateway to the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The airport is well placed for towns like Modena, Parma and Ravenna. Forli is also quite convenient for beach holiday resorts like Rimini, Cattolica, Cesena and Tredozio. This is a very small regional airport with just handful of flights every week.
Wizz Air is the largest airline in residence but they have no routes from the UK. Ryanair used to fly to Forli from London Gatwick but have discontinued the route. Ryanair advertised the route as “Bologna Forli” despite the city of Forli being about 60 minutes from Bologna by train. All direct flights to Bologna from the UK now head for Bologna Airport.
It remains to be seen if low-cost airlines will resume routes from the UK in the future.
