Tours Val de Loire Airport is a convenient entry point for the beautiful region of the Loire Valley. The town of Tours is just 5km from the airport. This is a very small and very laid-back airport. There are just a handful of flights a week. There is a single bar/restaurant. Flights with low-cost airline Ryanair account for are large part of the airport’s passenger traffic.

Low-cost airline Ryanair has offered economical direct flights in recent years. Ryanair currently fly all year round from London Stansted and operate seasonal flights from Manchester. The number of flights usually increases in the summer months. Ryanair is by far the fastest and cheapest way to reach the Loire region from the UK.

Local Transport

A bus runs to Tours bus station from outside the terminal. The railway station is next door to the bus station. Journey time is about 15 minutes and tickets cost €5. Buses are timed to coincide with Ryanair flights.

Taxis are available outside the main building. A taxi to the centre of Tours will take about 15 minutes and cost approximately €20.
