Thessaloniki Flights

Thessaloniki Airport (SKG)

Thessaloniki International Airport is the second busiest airport in Greece. The airport is 15km from Thessaloniki city centre and is well-placed for holiday destinations in Northern Greece like the Halkidiki peninsula. There is a reasonable choice of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. The airport has good transport connections to the city centre.

The choice of departure airport increases in the long beach holiday season, when tour operator Thomson operates charter flights. Thomson usually fly from Gatwick, Luton, East Midlands and Manchester. Flights are seasonal, usually beginning in May and ending in September.

Many of the best deals are with Ryanair and EasyJet. Ryanair operate year-round flights from London Stansted. EasyJet fly all year round from London Gatwick. EasyJet also operate a seasonal route from Manchester from March to October. Well-priced flights are also available with British Airways from London Gatwick.

More expensive indirect flights are available from regional airports. Airlines with indirect flights include KLM, British Airways, Aegean Airlines, Air Berlin, Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.
