Split Flights

Split Airport (SPU)

Split airport is the second busiest airport in Croatia. The airport is located in the town of Kastela, 20km from Split and 6km from Trogir. This is a small collection of shops, bars and restaurants plus a duty-free shop. Work is currently underway to expand the airport and build a new terminal. The airport is a major hub for Croatia Airlines. Split Airport is the gateway to one of the most popular short break destinations in Croatia. Most UK visitors arrive in the summer months, heading for a string of popular beach resorts long the Adriatic coast.

Most flights from the UK are seasonal, with few airlines maintaining routes outside the summer beach holiday months. Recent years have seen economical seasonal flights with low-cost airline EasyJet. You may also find summer flights with airlines like Jet2.com and Wizz Air. At present, the most economical service is usually with EasyJet or Croatia Airlines. Also look out for flights with Norwegian. Flight time is about 2 hours. Flights outside the summer season tend to be more expensive and are often indirect if flying from outside London. Reasonably priced flights can usually be found with Germanwings, Lufthansa, British Airways and Swiss Air.
