Stockholm Skavsta Airport (NYO)

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is the second largest airport in the Stockholm area. The airport is a major Scandinavian hub for low-cost airline Ryanair. Flights with Ryanair account for the vast majority of passenger traffic. This is usually the cheapest route to Stockholm from the UK but do note that although officially known as Stockholm Skavsta the airport is 100km from the Swedish capital. Getting to Stockholm city centre involves a 90 minute onward journey by coach. Skavsta is a small airport with a couple of shops and a couple of snack bar restaurants. Passing through arrivals/departures is relaxed and fast.

Economical fares are available from Ryanair. They currently operate routes from Edinburgh and London Stansted.
