Shannon Airport (SNN)

Shannon airport is a convenient gateway to the wonderful scenery of the west of Ireland. The airport is 24Km from Limerick, 22km from Ennis and 90Km from Galway city. This is Ireland’s third busiest airport after Dublin and Cork. A brand new terminal was opened in 2000. There is a good choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The airport is a relaxed place with just a handful of flights arriving each day. Passing through arrivals and departures is swift and hassle-free. There are good transport connections to Limerick and Galway

There is a good choice of routes from the UK. The airport is well served by Aer Lingus, with departures from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, London Heathrow and London Southend. The best deals are often with low-cost airline Ryanair. They currently operate routes from Liverpool, Stansted and Gatwick.
