Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA)

Ryanair use Rome Ciampino Airport as an alternative to the much busier Rome Fiumicino Airport. This is a major Italian base for the Irish low-cost airline. Ryanair flights account for a very large part of the airport’s passenger traffic. Rome Ciampino is 15km from the city centre. There are good bus connections with Rome city centre. Fares are consistently among the very cheapest to Italy from the UK.. There is a good choice of shops, cafes and food options. p>

Local Transport

• Several bus companies offer transfers to Rome city centre. Terravision buses head for Rome Termini railway station. Tickets cost 4 euros. The journey takes about 40 minutes

• Buses depart every 30 minutes for the nearest train station, which is Ciampino Città. The bus takes 5 minutes and costs 1 euro. The onward train journey to Termini railway station takes about 15 minutes.
