PALMA AIRPORT (PMI) – FLIGHT INFORMATION

Palma is the entry airport for UK holidaymakers heading for the ever-popular resorts of Majorca. Intense competition between charter and low-cost airlines ensures some of the lowest airfares to Spain. Only Alicante and Malaga rival Palma for consistently low prices. The superb climate and a large resident UK community mean flights are available all year round. The city attracts a lot of short break visitors. Palma airport is just 5 miles from the city of Palma de Mallorca.

The availability of flights increases hugely during the long beach holiday season, when tour operators like Thomson and Thomas Cook provide charter flights from regional airports throughout the UK. Some routes may be seasonal. These may begin as early as April or May while others operate only in the peak summer months.

Many of the best deals are found with low-cost airlines Ryanair and EasyJet.

Ryanair currently operates routes from Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Glasgow Prestwick, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester and London Stansted.

EasyJet fly from Bristol, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Southend and London Stansted.

The summer season sees an excellent choice of flights from a very wide range of regional airports. Thomson and Thomas Cook operate routes from smaller airports like Exeter and Doncaster Sheffield. You should also find attractive fares from Monarch, Jet2.com, Norwegian and Vueling.

Flights tend to be more expensive during the summer school holiday period. Many of the best deals are found in early spring and autumn. It is always worth booking as well in advance as possible.
