Palermo Flights

Palermo Airport (PMO)

Palermo Airport is the most important airport in Sicily. Palermo is the main entry point for holidaymakers heading for resorts like Taormina, Cefalu, Mazzaro and Giardini Naxos. Affordable flights from the UK have raised the profile of a wonderfully atmospheric city that now rivals better-known Italian short break destinations like Pisa and Rome. The city of Palermo is 35 km from the airport. This is a busy airport with a good choice of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Recent years have seen economical direct flights with low-cost airlines Ryanair and EasyJet. Fares are usually among the cheapest to the south of Italy from the UK. Ryanair currently operate year-round flights from London Stansted. EasyJet fly all year round from London Gatwick. Flights are more frequent in the summer.

Reasonably priced flights from regional UK airports are often available from airlines like SAS, Air Berlin, Brussels Airlines, Air France and Lufthansa. These are usually indirect. The lowest fares are normally found from London Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham.
