MyTravelLite Flights

MyTravelLiteNow part of the Thomas Cook Group
MyTravel Lite, part of the MyTravel Group, offers one-way and return flights to all major European charter destinations, and serves the UK holiday market. From its beginnings as a budget airline launched in October 2002, MyTravel Lite specialised in low-fare scheduled flights, and operated as such until November 2005. The company was re-launched in November 2006 and uses the MyTravel Group aircraft for its flights. Now MyTravel Group has been reintegrated into the parent company Thomas Cook Group, with MyTravel Airways fully integrated into Thomas Cook Airlines in March of 2008. All flights previously available on MyTravel Lite flights are available on Flythomascook.

Originally set up to offer low-cost scheduled flights
The company was set up as a subsidiary of the MyTravel Group, which in turn was the original Airtours Group as of 2002. When it was launched in October of 2002, MyTravel Lite used the planes, staff and engineering from MyTravel Airways to offer one-way and return low-cost scheduled flights. The airline flew from Birmingham and Manchester to cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Geneva and Paris, and popular holiday destinations including Alicante, Malaga, Palma, Ibiza, Faro, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. After October 2005, operations were fully taken over by MyTravel Airways, meaning that the airline no longer offered one-way or flexible scheduled flights, and customers were restricted to standard holiday lengths, usually 3, 4, 7, or 14 nights.
