Monarch Flights

One of the UK's largest and most popular airlines, Monarch Airlines offers charter and scheduled flights to over 100 destinations, from beloved European tourist spots to far-flung cities in the USA, India and Africa. Based in Luton, Monarch Airlines has been established since 1967, and has operational bases at London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Dublin. Monarch Airlines operates a fleet of 30 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, featuring the Airbus A330 and the Boeing 767.   

 

Monarch Airlines serves a wide range of destinations, offering both chartered flights and scheduled flights around the world. The company started life in 1967 with just 2 planes, and by 1971, Monarch Airlines had joined the age of commercial travel with the introduction of its Boeing jet. Monarch Airlines continued to meet increasing demand and ever-changing technology in the industry over the following years, and now operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft which transport over six million passengers each year. Although the main bulk of Monarch Airline's business remains charter flights, the company introduced its scheduled service in 1986, with a departure from Luton to Mahon in Menorca, and now operates scheduled flights throughout the UK and Europe.

 

A popular carrier for many Mediterranean destinations, Monarch Airlines offers cheap flights to Spain, the Canaries, Portugal and the Algarve, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey, with direct services to Malaga, Alicante, Almeria, Palma, Mahon and Faro, as well as Larnaca, Paphos, Corfu, Dalaman, Bodrum and Antalya. Other European destinations offered by Monarch Airlines include France, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia and Finland, with the airline operating flights for cheap ski holidays, thanks to departures to Geneva, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Grenoble. Monarch Airlines serves long-haul holiday destinations, too, such as the Gambia, Egypt, Kenya, Goa and the Maldives, and also operates services to North America, with flights to the USA, Canada, Mexico and selected Caribbean destinations.
