MALAGA AIRPORT (AGP) – FLIGHT INFORMATION

Few airports in Spain can rival Malaga when it comes to low fares from the UK. Malaga is the key entry airport for UK holidaymakers heading for resorts on the Costa del Sol. Intense competition between charter and low-cost airlines means some of the lowest airfares to Spain. The superb climate of southern Spain means flights are available all year round. Winter flights serve city break visitors and a large resident UK community.

The availability of flights increases during the long summer season, when tour operators like Thomson and Thomas Cook provide charter flights from regional airports throughout the UK. Some routes may be seasonal. These may begin as early as April or May while others operate only in the peak summer months.

Many of the best deals are found with low-cost airlines Ryanair and EasyJet.

Ryanair currently operates routes from Birmingham, Bristol, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester and London Stansted.

EasyJet fly from Bristol, Glasgow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Southend, London Stansted, Newcastle and Manchester.

The summer season sees an excellent choice of flights from a very wide range of regional airports. Both Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines operate routes from smaller UK airports like Cardiff and Newcastle. You should also find attractive fares from Monarch, flybe, Jet2.com, Norwegian and Vueling.

Flights tend to be more expensive during the summer school holiday period. Many of the best deals are found in early spring and autumn. It is always worth booking as well in advance as possible.
