GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Train

There is no station at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Hunts Cross are nearby. Both are served by regular shuttle buses from the airport. Both stations have regular trains to Liverpool city centre. There are 2-3 buses from Liverpool Airport to Liverpool Lime Street (mainline train connections) every hour. Mainline trains run to south to London and to major cities like Manchester and Birmingham. Bicycles are permitted on most local Liverpool trains but may be subject to restrictions during rush hours.

Bus

Buses leave from the front of the terminal building. Regular bus services to Liverpool city centre. Stops include Norton Street Bus Station (National Express) and Lime Street Station (mainline train connections). Regular buses also run to Manchester city centre and Manchester Piccadilly. Buses run to local train stations: Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Hunts Cross. National Express services connect Liverpool with UK cities like London, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds and Chester.

Driving

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is close to the M57, M62 and M56 motorways. If you are relying on a satellite navigation system, the postcode is L24 1YD. Liverpool Airport is about 2 hours from Birmingham, 90 minutes from Leeds and 45 minutes from Manchester. Cars can drop off passengers at the short-stay car park near the terminal building. Taxis are available close to the terminal and can be booked in advance. Allow about 20 minutes for the journey to Liverpool city centre. CAR PARKING

Prices vary in relation to the type of car park, distance from terminal and length of stay. The Pick up & Drop Off Car Park is designed for people taking friends and family to the airport or picking them up from incoming flights. Convenient premium parking is the nearest to the terminal. Premium parking is for stays of up to 9 days. If your flights involve a longer time away or proximity to the terminal is not important you should consider long-stay parking. Allow a maximum 30 minutes from long-stay parking to check-in. Some customers choose the Liverpool Meet and Greet valet parking service. With valet parking you simply drive to the terminal and your car will be parked for you. All car parks are of a high standard and properly supervised.
