LISBON AIRPORT (LIS) – FLIGHT INFORMATION

Lisbon is the gateway to one of Europe’s most popular short break destinations. Flights with low-cost airlines have only served to increase Lisbon’s popularity in recent years. The airport is a short train journey from the romantic city centre. The airport was improved and expanded between 2007 and 2010. Lisbon Airport metro station was opened in 2012, connecting the Airport with the city centre in 25 minutes.

Lisbon’s deserved reputation as a city break destination means economical flights are available at any time of year. Look out for cheap flights in spring and late summer, when Lisbon temperatures are comfortable for sightseeing and Lisbon coast resorts like Cascais and Estoril are at their relaxing best.

The airport is well served from the UK, with routes from London and a choice of regional airports. Some routes are seasonal, often starting in early spring.

You will find economical fares with low-cost airline EasyJet. Lisbon is a major European base for the low-cost airline. EasyJet currently operate routes from Edinburgh, Bristol, Liverpool, Luton and Gatwick.

Competition from low-cost airlines means competitively priced fares from British Airways and the Portuguese national carrier TAP. British Airways fly from London Heathrow. TAP have routes from Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow. The cheapest fares are usually with EasyJet.
