Lille Lesquin Airport is just 7km from the centre of Lille. This is a small airport with very few flights each day. Getting through the airport on arrival and departure is a relaxed affair. There is a cafe, a restaurant, a shop and a duty free.
Fast Eurostar train connections with London mean Lille Airport has missed out on the low-cost flight boom seen at French airports like Carcassonne and Biarritz. Expensive indirect flights are available with KLM and Air France. It remains to be seen if the elegant attractions of Lille become accessible by plane from the UK in the future.

A shuttle bus connects the airport with a point in the city centre, close to the main bus station and 5 minutes’ walk from Lille Flandre and Lille-Europe railway stations. Departures approximately every hour. The journey takes 20 minutes and costs €7.
At present (late 2012) there are no direct flights from the UK. Flights to Lille are not a priority with airlines due to the convenience of the Eurostar train service from London.
