Trains to Larnaca International Airport
Public transport in Cyprus is limited and there are no trains on the island. But the inter-town urban public bus services are superb, connecting all the major towns and small villages with the tourist centres and resorts. If you’re heading for Cyprus on a package holiday then your airport to hotel transfers will probably have been taken care of automatically. Otherwise, wherever you are on the island you’ll be able to pick up a suitable bus, at low cost, to and from the airport. Just remember to take cash and, if at all possible, have the right change handy. There’s also a vast range and choice of shared and private taxi services.

The regular Kapnos airport shuttle bus leaves Nicosia from outside the Cyprus Hotel and Catering Institute on Kastalias Street and costs 5 euros for a single journey. You can also catch a bus from Larnaka International Airport to Nicosia, departing regularly at a cost of six and a half Euros per person. Buses depart from Larnaca International Airport to Limasol, seven Euros a head, and there’s even a frequent bus to and from both Ayia Napa and Protaras. The Intercity Buses office is next to the coach and bus park on the left of the terminal as you exit, but you can also buy tickets direct from the driver.

 

Driving to Larnaca International Airport
Larnaca International airport is easy to access from Larnaca city and from all the island’s other towns by motorway. The airport is located just 3 miles from Larnaca itself and once you hit any main motorway you’ll see the signs. Because Cyprus is an island the worst you can do is drive in circles ‘til you get it right! Hire your car at the airport from Easycar, Europcar, Astra, Hertz, Sixt, Avis or Petsas. There’s also a really cool private transfer service that takes you direct to your holiday destination, which you can book via the airport’s official website.
