Innsbruck Airport (INN)

Innsbruck Airport is a key arrival point for British skiers heading for the world-famous resorts of Austria. A wide choice of resorts is within an hour’s transfer from the airport. Departures from the UK increase considerably during the winter ski season, with tour operators like Thomson and Thomas Cook supplementing low-cost airlines like EasyJet. This efficient single-terminal airport is a short 20 minute journey from Innsbruck city centre. The airport has a decent choice of shops and restaurants and is a manageable size. Arriving passengers are treated to fine Alpine views from the airport runway and terminal building. Innsbruck Airport is just 5 km from the city centre.

Innsbruck remains an enticing destination in the summer months, when the attractive old city is busy with cultural festivals and the surrounding Tyrolean Alps are a paradise for walkers. The summer season sees a smaller choice of flights and departure airport. Low-cost airline EasyJet is frequently the cheapest option.
