The majority of passengers arriving at Gran Canaria Airport have booked their holiday as a package and can expect to be taken to their destination by one of the many transfer coaches available from the coach station right outside the arrivals hall. This is ideal as all you need to do is hop on your coach and be driven to your holiday location. There are no trains on the island, however there is a great public bus service which is very useful if you are heading to the top destinations of Las Palmas, Playa del Ingles or Maspalomas. Look for Bus 60 if you are heading to Las Palmas, Parque de San Catalina and Parque de Dan Telmo and look out for Bus 66 if you are heading for Faro de Maspalomas. Buses usually leave every 20 minutes and only cost a few Euro, so check the timetables and prices with Gran Canaria Airport before you leave, and hop on a bus to get around Gran Canaria island quickly and easily from Gran Canaria Airport.

 

Hire a reliable metered taxi from just outside the airport to get around Gran Canaria, or why not hire a car so you can explore the island under your own steam? There are several car hire companies inside Gran Canaria Airport terminal including Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Record and Euto Reisen. Gran Canaria Airport is easy to get to if you are driving, as Airport is located on the main road on the island, named GC1, with the exit that leads to the airport clearly signposted so you are sure to find your way.
