Gatwick to Paris
London Gatwick (LGW) to Paris (CDG) used to be a very popular route served by British Airways for more than 70 years. However, in 2004 BA cancelled all five of it's then daily services from Gatwick to Paris. The company cited a 'competitive market place' for pulling the routes.
Eurostar claimed 'victory'
At the time of the announcement, Eurostar jumped on the news story and suggested that it was the provision of the Eurostar to Paris that offered a quicker low hassle alternative "Convenience is key when you are travelling especially on a fairly short journey to places like Paris.
LGW to CDG - what are the alternatives?
Since British Airways pulled their routes in 2004, no airline offers direct flights from Gatwick to Paris. However, easyjet offers a regular service from Luton Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Eurostar to Paris depart St Pancras (London), Ashford (Kent), Ebbsfleet (Kent).
