Faro Flights

FARO AIRPORT (FAO) – FLIGHT INFORMATION

Few airports in Europe can rival Faro when it comes to low fares from the UK. Faro is the key entry airport for UK holidaymakers heading for resorts on the Algarve coast of Portugal. Intense competition between charter and low-cost airlines means plenty of economical flights. The superb climate of southern Spain means flights are available all year round. Winter routes serve a large resident UK community.

The availability of flights increases during the long summer season, when tour operators like Thomson, Monarch and Thomas Cook provide charter flights from regional airports throughout the UK. These charter flights are usually seasonal. They may begin as early as March. Others operate from May until October.

Many of the best deals are found with low-cost airlines Ryanair and EasyJet.

Ryanair currently operates routes from Birmingham, Bristol, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester and London Stansted.

EasyJet fly from Belfast International, Bristol, Glasgow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Southend and Newcastle.

The summer season sees an excellent choice of flights from a very wide range of regional airports. Thomson Airways operate routes from smaller UK airports like Cardiff and Exeter. You should also find attractive fares from Monarch, Jet2.com and Norwegian. British Airways offer competitively priced flights from London Gatwick.

Flights tend to be more expensive during the summer school holiday period. Many of the best deals are found in early spring and autumn. It is always worth booking as well in advance as possible.
