Exeter Airport Information

Exeter Airport is situated at Clyst Honiton, around five miles north east of the city itself. Like many of the UK’s regional airports, Exeter has a grand Master Plan and is predicting a bright and busy future. This was submitted in early 2008 and such things tend to move slowly, so watch this space. Exeter Airport was opened in May 1937, operating out of a tented terminal (in other words a tent!) until permanent buildings were built. Regional and City Airports Ltd(RCA) bought Exeter Airport from Devon County Council for £60 million in early 2007. In recent years Exeter Airport has grown more in terms of passenger numbers than any other regional airport in the UK.
