CORFU AIRPORT (CFU) – FLIGHT INFORMATION

  • Corfu International Airport is the third busiest airport in Greece. This is the main entry airport for UK holidaymakers heading for beach resorts like Benitses and Sidari. Intense competition between charter and low-cost airlines means some of the lowest airfares to the Greek Islands. The airport is just 2km from the capital Corfu Town.

  • Direct flights are available during the long beach holiday season, when tour operators like Thomson, and Monarch operate charter flights from airports throughout the UK. Seasonal routes often begin in March or May and end in October.

  • Many of the best deals are found with low-cost airlines EasyJet and Ryanair. EasyJet currently operate routes from Manchester, Bristol, Gatwick and Luton. These routes are also seasonal, starting in March and ending in October. Ryanair have seasonal flights from East Midlands, Glasgow Prestwick, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds Bradford and London Stansted.

  • The summer season sees an excellent choice of flights from a very wide range of regional airports. Thomson fly from airports across the UK. Routes normally start in May and end in October or November. You should also find attractive fares from Monarch and Jet2.com. Reasonably priced flights are also available from airlines flying from London Heathrow. These usually include Aegean Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Olympic and Air Berlin.

  • Flights tend to be more expensive during the summer school holiday period. Many of the best deals are found in early spring and autumn. It is always worth booking as well in advance as possible. The lowest fares are often from London Gatwick.

  • Finding direct flights in the winter season is problematic if not impossible. Low-season visitors to the island have to rely on local ferry services or fly via Athens.
