Cagliari Flights

Cagliari Airport (CAG)

Cagliari Elmas Airport is one of three airports on the island of Sardinia. Cagliari is particularly well placed for resorts in the south of the island. The fascinating island capital of Cagliari is just 6km from the terminal. This is a small regional airport with a few shops and a couple of snack bars. It underwent major improvements in 2003.

Recent years have seen economical direct flights with low-cost airlines EasyJet and Ryanair. EasyJet currently operate year-round flights from London Stansted. Ryanair operate a seasonal route from Edinburgh, which begins at the end of March. You may also find seasonal flights with British Airways, departing from London Heathrow and Manchester.

Flying from airports outside London remains problematic. You may find indirect flights with airlines like Lufthansa, Swiss and SAS. These will almost certainly be much more expensive than flights with Ryanair and EasyJet. If no flights are available try Alghero Airport, in the north of Sardinia or Olbia Airport on the northeast coast.

  • A taxi is a viable option given the short distance from the city centre. Approximate fare 20-25 euros.
