Brno Airport (BRQ)

Brno-Tufany Airport is the second busiest airport in the Czech Republic. A smart new departure hall was opened in 2006 but this still remains a very small-scale airport with a handful of airlines operating scheduled flights. There are a couple of shops as well as a bar, fast food outlet and restaurant.

Direct flights from the UK have been available with Ryanair in recent years. The 2012 winter schedule sees direct flights with Ryanair from London Stansted. You will also find great-value flights from London Luton with Wizz Air.

The airport is located 8km from the centre of Brno, in the south east of the country. The Czech Republic’s second city has an easily manageable historic centre, excellent museums and enjoyable nightlife.
