GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Train

There is no train station at Blackpool Airport. The nearest train station is Squires Gate Lane, a five minute walk. Getting to the airport by train is possible from throughout the UK by taking a train to Preston or Colne. Trains from Preston to Squires Gate Lane run every hour. Tickets can be bought on the train. You could also take a train from Preston to Blackpool North train station and then take a taxi. A taxi from Blackpool North to the airport takes about 10 minutes. Bus

You can reach the airport on a local Blackpool Transport service. Numbers 1, 7, 11 and 16 all stop near the airport. The Stagecoach 68 bus also stops near the airport. Airport buses run to Fleetwood, Lytham St Annes and Preston. National Express buses connect Blackpool with towns and cities nationwide.

Driving

Blackpool Airport is easily accessed via the M6 and M55. The M55 has good connections with the M65 and M61. If you are using a satellite navigation system, the postcode is DE74 2SA. The airport is a short drive from Blackpool. CAR PARKING

Prices for Blackpool Airport parking depend on the car park and the length of stay. The cheapest parking is normally found by booking in advance or taking advantage of special offers. All official car parks are very close to the terminal building. Parking is of a good standard and well-supervised. Short stay parking is ideal for drop offs, pick ups and stays of a few hours. Short stay parking is right outside the airport terminal. Long-stay parking is the cheapest. There are two long stay car parks a short walk from the terminal building. There is free parking for the first 15 minutes in both short stay and long stay. Disabled parking is in the short stay car park.
