Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (FKB)

Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (also known as Baden Airpark) is a small regional airport in the Baden-Wurttemburg region of Germany, close to the border with France. The airport is 25km from Baden-Baden, an enjoyable city that is starting to rival better-known short break destinations like Munich and Cologne. The airport is a useful gateway to the Black Forest and a scenic region famous for its fairy-tale castles, walking trails, spa towns and terrific beer gardens. Baden Airpark is also handy for the city of Karlsruhe. Daily flights with Ryanair provide an economical way to reach Strasburg, just 16km across the French border.

The region has received an influx of British visors in recent years thanks to direct flights from London Stansted with Ryanair. The airport has been an important German hub for Ryanair since 2011. Karlsruhe Baden-Baden is a quiet airport used by less than a dozen airlines. Arriving and departing is a very relaxed experience and moving on from the airport is fast and hassle free. The airport has a small collection of shops and café/snack bars.
