Trains to Amsterdam Airport
Amsterdam Airport has its own train station. Fantastic! That means all you do is nip under Schipol Plaza via escalator or lift – it’s all very clearly marked - and pick your platform. Trains leave regularly for Amsterdam Central station. From there the rest of theNethelands and mainland Europe are at your fingertips by train. You can even pick up an international fast train to Paris or Brussels from here and carry on your journey in supreme comfort! Amsterdam station is right in the city centre so you’ll be in the thick of it the moment you get off the train. The train is your  cheapest option, they run 24 hours a day and it only takes 15 minutes to get into the city. .  

Buses to Amsterdam Airport
If you’re travelling on a package deal your hotel will probably provide a free airport shuttle bus service. Otherwise you can catch the handy Conexxion Hotel shuttle bus. This drops off at a massive 100 city hotels and runs from 6am to 9pm.  There is also a regular bus service to take you fromAmsterdam airport to the city, picking up from outside Schiphol Plaza. Once you get into the city itself there’s a fantastic array of public transport to choose from, all much more convenient and exciting than getting into a car! Pick from the metro, trams, buses, trains, boats and ferries.

Driving to Amsterdam Airport
This is one of Europe’s major hubs and people travel in from all over the Netherlands. So you’ll find clear signposting from all over the country, whatever direction you’re approaching from. The airport is on the main A4 motorway, the one that links Amsterdam with Reotterdam and The Hague. As you’d expect the A4 airport exit to the airport is clearly signposted – you really can’t miss it! On the whole it’s woth bearing in mind that the city itself isn’t very car friendly. That’s one of the reasons why exploring Amsterdam is such a pleasure. Excited? Ready to go?
