Bus C-6 connects the airport with the centre of Alicante every 20 minutes. Service runs from 05.30-24.00. Tickets cost €2,70The bus goes to the main railway station and connects with the city tram service at Alfonso X El Sabio and Plaza de los Luceros. The Alicante Tram system has routes to the Costa Blanca resorts of El Campello, La Vila Joiosa, Benidorm, L'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, Calpe, Benissa, Gata, Teulada and Denia.
Direct non-stop buses run to Benidorm bus station every hour. The journey takes 45 minutes. Tickets cost €8,30. There are also direct inter-city buses to Murcia, Torrevieja and Santa Pola. Bus 1A runs from the airport to Elche. Bus 1B runs to Playa El Altet and Arenales del Sol.
The official airport taxi service is Radio Taxi Elche. They can be identified by a green stripe running the length of the vehicle. Fares to the airport include a supplement of 3.80 euros. The company website offers booking with a discount for payment in advance. Make sure that the taxi driver starts the meter. EasyJet fly all year round from London Gatwick. Most other routes are seasonal.
