2011 flights to Tenerife

There are two airports located on Tenerife, the largest of the idyllic Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. The busiest of these is Tenerife South Airport with over 30 worldwide airlines operating flights here daily. Alternatively, Tenerife North Airport serves the quieter north of the island. Flights to Tenerife from London in 2011 are offered by several of the major airlines and depart from both Gatwick and Heathrow flying to Tenerife South. The cheapest flights with Air Europa usually involve a short stopover. However, budget airline EasyJet also offers direct flights from Gatwick taking around 4 and a half hours. 

 

Several alternative UK airports are operating flights to both Tenerife North and South in 2011, meaning that you may find a more convenient flight from outside of London. As well as flying from Gatwick, EasyJet flies to Tenerife South from Bristol and Manchester. Similarly, Ryanair offers cheap flights to Tenerife South from Bristol as well as Bournemouth in the south of the UK and from airports further north including Birmingham, East Midlands, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Other options for 2011 flights to Tenerife with a variety of different airlines include Blackpool, Newcastle and Leeds Bradford.

 

Tenerife is one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations for a guaranteed two weeks in the sun, so it’s a good idea to book your flights as far in advance as possible to ensure that you get the best deals. Using an internet search engine such as directline-flights is a good way of comparing fares and allows you to search from several different UK airports. Bear in mind that you may find cheaper or more convenient flights from airports outside of London and remember to check which of Tenerife’s two airports you will be flying in to before you book.
